  • 200 multiple-choice questions make up the NEET exam’s 720 total marks, and it is administered. Competitors have to opt for a correct answer from the choice of 4 options.
  • Each question contains 4 marks. 4-marks will be awarded for a correct answer.
  • Negative marking is there for wrong answers, -1 marks will be deducted for a wrong answer.
  • ‘0’ marks for an unanswered question.
  • Total NEET Score calculated by adding the correct answers and deducting the negative answers.

NEET Cutoff: Tie-breaking Process

NEET Tie-breaking is applied if 2 or more candidates score the same marks in the exam. Using the tie-breaking process the ranks of the candidates will be decided.

Higher marks in Biology:

Competitors scoring higher scores/percentile in Biology (Botany and Zoology) will be given the first preference in the NEET merit list.
