Counseling Process for Seats Outside 15% All India Quota

1. Admission Process for State Medical Colleges/Universities/Institutions

Candidates who wish to apply for enrollment to national universities, educational institutions, and institutions using the National Examination for Educational Excellence (UG) advantage list should adhere to the instructions given by the respective kingdom government and the authorities of the medical/dental schools, institutions, and universities.

2. Counselling for Private Medical Colleges (except Deemed)

Except for Deemed Colleges, non-public medical schools’ counseling programs may be overseen by the governments of the individual countries. Candidates interested in these colleges will need to participate in counseling procedures organized by their state authorities.

3. Merit List and Candidate Categories

Admitting/counseling authorities will establish merit lists for candidates based on the categories declared by the candidates themselves during the admission/counseling application process. It’s important to note that the National Testing Agency (NTA) will not modify candidate data once the relevant window is closed. Any changes or updates to candidate data cannot be made by the NTA after the declaration of results.

4. Counselling and Admission Procedure

Applicants must register for counseling based on their eligibility and specify their class by the official class listing to participate in the discussion as well as the entrance process for seats other than the 15% India-wide Allocation Reservations.

Subsequently, the concerned counseling authorities will prepare merit lists by these categories. The domicile (residency) criteria for eligibility will be determined by the respective state, and the NTA will not have any involvement in this aspect.

5. Verification and Eligibility Check

During the counseling process, eligible candidates will undergo verification procedures. This includes checking eligibility criteria, self-declarations, submission of required documents, and other relevant processes using the relevant government bodies and academic/dental institutions.
